So you want to know what the next big thing is. If you live in south Texas chances are you probably already know it. Yep, the oil and gas industry is about to explode. Rumors of hundreds of wells being drilled in Live Oak and McMullen County appear to be true based upon my sources in the oil and gas business. So what does that mean? Well you may just get left at the station again. Why are you waiting? Trying to time the market? Hey, bad move...my best advice is to sit down with an agent who knows the market. Tell him what you want and let them do the hard work. They usually know what's going on. Save yourself some time and hassle.

It's a long-held tradition that Longhorns and Aggies just don't see eye to eye. It's about two great schools who look at things differently. One's not better than the other just different.
We remind ourselves of this conundrum when we visit College Station to see our daughter, Rachel. Nana had to go check things out for herself, and the verdict is that she loves Aggies too. That's saying alot for someone who grew up as a Red Raider.
The world's full of people with different views. I guess that's what makes the world go 'round. Have a happy and safe holiday season.
Adios,
Richard
The year is almost over and I've been playing with new interactive maps on the internet which provide a lot of useful information in an interesting format. There are about seven maps available on this one map. These tools are just a few of the new technologies available. I'm watching and reading what others are doing and will soon be making the move too in 2010. You'll soon see more maps on my website with my listings and other neat gadgets. Stay tuned for the newest & neatest stuff.
Robin & I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a restful and joyous holiday season.
Feliz Navidad!

It's that time of year...no, not football...more on that later. No it's getting cold in south Texas. That means it's almost Christmas. It's one of my favorite times because you are near family, and it's a time to celebrate the many ways you have been blessed.
This year the Dockery's have all experienced lots of changes. The most notable is our daughter, Rachel, graduating high school and going to Texas A&M. That was tough at first for "the Longhorns", but in the end, it was the perfect place for Rachel. We're happy to cheer the Aggies in Aggieland...so long as they are not playing the Longhorns. The Horns survived an offensive nail-biter, hopefully on their way to a National Championship!
Thank you to all our customers, family & friends during the year. We wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in 2010!
